Wayne McConnell has been playing music all his life. At the age of 17 he was heard by American Jazz Pianist James Williams (Art Blakey) who has been Wayne's guiding light in his musical endeavours. He is a sought after pianist and has performed all over the world in various projects and bands. He leads his own trio and quartet playing orginal compositions and standards. They have been featured in some of the world's top jazz venues and festivals. Wayne has played with some of the leading musicians in jazz including Ed Thigpen, George Coleman, Joe Strasser, John Farnsworth, Alan Barnes, Alec Dankworth, Andy Clyndert and Tim Garland. Wayne was made a Roland Artist in June 2011.
