Sorry it has been so long since my last update, things have been busy, lots of exciting things to report.
Firstly, the dates for this year's Jazz Summer School will be announced very shortly, it unfortunately isn't taking place at Chichester Uni this year, they have a huge summer conference that got in there just before I did. The good news is that it will take place in Brighton. I'm looking at Dorothy Stringer High School which is looking like a goer, just waiting to hear back about possible dates. It will happen in July this year. Will keep you posted!
My Quintet did it's first gig back in Febrary which went well, it was recorded and I'll be posting various things up on myspace. We are working on a plan of action to get this band more gigs/exposure, it really is a fantastic band and really does deserve to be working a LOT more than it is. We are putting together a demo/press pack which will be available for download directly from this site. Venues/Promotors, please get in contact if you would like to book us!
I've formed a new trio featuring Turin Brakes bassist Eddie Myer and the fantastic Graham Allen on Drums. All original material, stay tuned for free downloads soon!
The DM Quartet still has it's weekly residency at The Geese in Hanover (Southover Street). It is very busy these days, that band now has a myspace which you can check out at: www.myspace.com/dmquartet
